:bulletblue: October/November ProsePrompt

Think of a body part, any body part. Does to move? Voluntarily or involuntarily? Can you live without it? Can it live without you? This is your main character. Write a story using the characteristics of the body part you chose (in any way you want) to develop your main character. e.g Kidneys can become twins...your big toe can become the oldest child in a family of ten.

:bulletblue: August/September ProsePrompt

This time we're focusing on the theme of Identity using your (or someone else's) dA username as the prompt. The only rule is that it must be a valid dA account name and you must specify the username that inspired your piece in the description.

:bulletblue: June/July ProsePrompt

You wake up. The world is both unfamiliar and cold. Your hands explore the snowy earth, quick to discover a knapsack. Exploring its contents, you discover a mysterious and aged object - an artefact. Your discovery is interrupted by the roar of a flying machine. There's no time to waste; Do you take the knapsack with you or leave it behind? Make your choice and write the consequences.

:bulletblue: April/May ProsePrompt
There is an adversary, one who threatens to destroy everything your character considers precious. Write of fear, anguish, dread and hopes, as your character faces their greatest foe. The enemy comes in any guise and form; man, woman or beast, it could even be a phobia, a nightmare, a concept of imagination. This prompt's theme is all about conflict - now write.

:bulletblue: February/March ProsePrompt
Sadly, we all need to stay true to ourselves even at our own expense. Write about an instance of someone being faithful to their ethics and beliefs even though that is not at all what they truly, truly want.

:bulletblue: November/December/January ProsePrompt
(This ProsePrompt is inspired by December’s “Writer’s Digest”.)
A man is on a bus going to work when a girl—sobbing—sits next to him. She pulls out a journal and begins to write franticly. Nosy, he takes a peek. "I hope they don't find the body,” he reads. Write a short story from the perspective of either the girl or the man chronicling what happens next.

:bulletblue: September/October ProsePrompt
Sometimes, we need to do things we hate to those we love the most. Write a story about a person who lies to someone or something very dear to him or her.

:bulletblue: July/August ProsePrompt
It’s almost become cliché in fiction when a bad character does a bad thing, but how often do you see a perfectly good, well-to-do protagonist intentionally do a horrible act? With proper motivation, write about the evil deeds of a good character.

:bulletblue: May/June Challenge
Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Lust, Anger, Greed and Sloth; the seven deadly sins. This month, you must write a story protraying one of the seven sins. We will invite all members and guests to guess which sin your story protrays. The winner will be the story that protrays the sin in the cleverest and most creative way. (When submitting for this challenge, please include what the sin actually was.)

:bulletblue: February/March Challenge
There is a key in your hand. How does it feel? Smell it. Lick it. How does it taste? What does it open? Now write.

:bulletblue: A Special Holiday Challenge

:bulletblue: November/December Challenge
Write a prose in 1st person which captures the spirit of any one of the following: A beggar, a worn out soap star, a disabled five year old, a tiger in hunt or a psychopathic sales person, HOWEVER, you must try to do this in a manner whereby the identity of the character cannot be easily guessed.

:bulletblue: September/October Challenge
Your story's title: The Immaculate Deception

:bulletblue: July/August Challenge
Supply the story: I saw the storm coming. I couldn't avoid it.
